Met up with Josh (jcj) at Tone Merchants today to get the Tom Anderson, was in a hurry so I was only able to just grab the guitar and go, wish I couldve stayed, heard him play the Sig X when walking in, sounds really nice. Had to stop by my house to grab some stuff and just had to plug it in for 10 minutes. One of the lightest guitars I have ever played! The neck is a little thinner than my strat and it was exactly the shape I was looking for, the cleans were amazing through the Mark IV. The contour at the end makes upper fret access so easy. Must say no wonder these guitars cost a buttload. Can't wait till the Suhr arrives this friday to compare.

i've had many drop tops....that was until i played a suhr.......

How does it sound for heavy stuff? It sure looks gorgeous.

Haven't really tried the heavy stuff, I only had 10-15 mins with it today, have to work late today as well  But so far the Humbucker in it sounds really nice for 80's tones with the Vintage Modern.

I've never played a Suhr, but I love my Anderson. Seeing people argue about which is better seems kinda like arguing whether a Ferrari is better than a Lambo...

Yeah I am sure they are two different types of beasts, so far the Anderson neck feels really comfortable to me. I am really picky on necks also because my hands are small, if its too fat I feel like im handicapped playing it, if its too thin, it hurts my thumb (I have a hitch hiker thumb and the way I hold it stresses my thumb alot)  But I've only had less than 30 minutes with it so my opinion may change in the long run

My Anderson is the best playing guitar in my small arsenal - Les Paul Classic, Jackson Kelly bolt on and Ibanez RG470. The others are all great guitars, but Tommy is in a league of his own...

I've got both a Suhr and a Anderson. It's really tough to choose between them. They're both incredible.

i own both, and honestly on the two with exactly (as exact as possible) the same specs i have a hard time telling the difference.
just my 2 cents
peace
