So I think I'm gonna tackle this Einstein mod tomorrow...

So, I just need to solder the three wires from the jack to the toggle, is this right? That's what I gather from the instructions anyway :lol: :LOL: I have a totally sick custom made Olaf Krampe pedal that I'm itching to use, ya know?

By the way Olaf, did you get the cash yet?

yes - and yes :D

It arrived today :confused:

Replace one of the 4 Ohm jacks (leave the red wires untouched), put in the new jack and solder the three wires to the toggle. There was a piece of paper in your carton - I think black goes to the middle. Keep the original wires on the toggle too.

Yes, please tell us more and show us what you have to offer with this mod. I know the limitations but I want to do this mod as well. Would love to see pics of the finished product. Thanks

Today? I thought it was meant to take 7 days. I hadn't heard from you, that was all. Oh well, atleast you got it.

So, all three wires go to the toggle, with the black to the middle? That's what the paper says I believe, but I don't have it with me right now. I was just checking to make sure I don't screw anything up!
 
Just take your time when soldering and don't piss your pants, its a Diezel, undestructable you know :D

And unhook from mains please.

If the pedal's switches are flipped (say you want to have lead on the left), then flip upper and lower on toggle - or better on the stereo jack from tip to ring and vice versa.

Thanks man. Anything else I should know? I mean, I've heard about unhooking it from the mains, then turning the amp to the ON position, to help discharge some of the power inside the chassis?
 
Oh and also, if I wanted the Clean on the left switch, Texas in the middle and Mega on the right, which way do I solder it? The jack you sent has a Blue closest to the jack "hole" as it were, green in the middle, yellow on the other end. The note says Blue to middle, cool. Which way would the green and yellow go for the operation I mentioned?

Hey guys,

Sorry I didn't get a chance to do the mod yesterday. A friend came over and we just jammed so it looks like it's gonna be in the week now :doh:
 
Is it possible to use a midi-switcher (engl z-11) instead of the pedal?
 
im in australia and i've had mr sherlock from sherlock amps do the mod for me on my einstein now i got more channels on my feet its a good thing for sure!!
it was quite cheap to do $40 au dollar and it took him no time at all
