I have a quad of them im going to be selling if you are interested. They have a few hours on them, but not many.

I have JJ EL34L's in my Aldrich. I usually use old Svetlannas, but I love the tone and feel of the JJ's in this amp...
 
I prefer JJ's in my Jose for the same reason - they're thicker, smoother, warmer with more low mids. They're not quite as clear and detailed as the =C='s, but I find it's a trade-off worth making.
 
do they have that mid grind and bloom though? i dont think so...i could be wrong though...
 
You still diggin these? I may be up for ordering up some new tubes for my Camerons.

Also what about pre tubes? Off the shelf new ones. Unless maybe buying one NOS for V1 or something...
 
about 3 year ago i put jj's in my uber. they went bad after 6 months....which might be expected with 500 + volts on the plates. then i replaced them with jj's AGAIN. received a bad set right of the box. got replacements no big deal. swore off jj's. as of late i retubed another uber i now own with a brand new set of jj's. i have decided i would try a sip of the "cool aid". guess what...ANOTHER BAD SET. i returned them to c.e. and they replaced them with =c='s( (which after over a dozen retubes on my presonnal and customer/friends amps) and i'll NEVER try them again. just my rant. i guess when they work they sound great, but when they dont , they dont in a bad way? i dunno.
