So I went to see VH ast night. Here's my review (pics)

[Lord Toneking]

Man, I have to tell ya, they really sounded great! The crowd was electric, the mix was good, Ed's new amp sounded good too. After seeing it now, I'm glad Wolfgang was involved in the tour. Just to see him and his dad jamming and having fun was a thrill. He also sang very good...they all did for that matter.

Here are three things that really jumped out at me...

1. They performed very well, no trainwrecks (even 'Jump' was in tune )
2. Man did they look old though...very old
3. Alex Van Halen has to be the most underrated drummer in the world. This guy is just sick!

The reason they look so old is cus they are. I'm 57 look much younger due to no smoking no drinking no drugs and a much younger wife but still look pretty old. The bad habits do take a toll. The piper does have a payday.

Thanks! It was an expensive night with tickets, beers and t shirts...but at least they did'nt disappoint me like they did in '04. Eddie was pretty sharp on his playing, they all were very tight

I actually thought his other guitars sounded better to be honest. He played the cherryburst EVH, a black and white striped Charvel, a red, black and white Charvel, the Frankenstrat and a black EVH with a #4 on it...he played that on the most

The flange he used sounded huge!! and the phaser was also killer sounding (Atomic punk). Just a great show for a change
