Until 5 mins ago I always thought I heard Boogie tone on the early Anthrax albums. Nope, a boosted 800.

So who has confirmed they used a C+ or III for an album? New or old bands, I'm curious to hear some artists outside of Metallica, Dream Theatre and Sykes. I tried chat GPT and it said Gary Moore for Still Got The Blues. I'm not convinced it's as smart as they say it is.

If there's already a thread please link it, searching C+ doesn't really work. No not this one.

Zen, we've been over this. The key to early Anthrax is those old Rola G12-80 55hz Celestions that I love so much. That, and Scott Ian's precise picking is even more important than the JCM800/TC pedal factor.

Do we even need anything except AJFA tone anyways? 😁

All I heard was buy more speakers you crazy cat you. I mean asked about confirmed Boogie sitings, but that's not relevant now that I have more cabs to fill!

I
Faith no More Angeldust
…MKIII
Living Color Vivid
….Mark but not sure if a III
NOFX Punk in Drublic
…..MK and Marshall, don’t know III for sure but probably.
Weezer Blue
…MK III, non EQ model
I remember watching a making of video of Angel Dust and I’m pretty sure Jim Martin had Marshalls just absolutely pegged. That’s what the recordings sound like too.

I believe Tim Pierce used IIC+'s with Rick Springfield, so probably "Beat of the Drum", "Tao" and maybe "Rock Life". Not a great metal example, but general rock, great cleans and killer leads.
