1970 Gibson Goldtop, Les Paul Deluxe.
Believed to be a 1970 model, due to the appointments, but could be 1971.
Fat chunky neck... Stock goof rings... No dot on the "i" in Gibson (headstock)....Pots appear to be stock 1970 era.
Pickups, wiring, and pots all appear to be stock.
These particular Kluson tuners, Tailpiece, and ABR-1, are not original to the guitar.
In great condition for it's age, but HAS BEEN PLAYED, so it is not a case queen.
Considerable amount of checking on back.
The Goldtop is starting to "green", where your arm contacts the body.
This one has plenty of mojo.
No breaks or cracks.
10.8 pounds.
The pictured yellow lined case is garbage, and was replaced with a black Gibson, plush grey lined case.
After trying to read the exposed numbers on the pots (Q-tip and DeOxit), it looks like one of them possibly has the numbers "3770", one is possibly a CBA-811-1158 replacement (late 60's-early 70's factory authorized replacement, see screenshot pic), and the other two are covered with solder.
When I found this one for sale, I immediately bought it , due to being such a resonant guitar. I had the intention of routing for humbuckers, however, after playing it for a little while, I do not have the heart to route it. It is just too nice to alter, in my opinion.
No scams or foolishness here, just trying to pass this one along.
The only trade considered, would be an early 70's Les Paul Custom, preferably Ebony or Alpine (NO cracks or breaks).
Let me know if you have any questions.
****SOLD*****, via PP FF, Bank Draft, or USPS Money Orders.
I am open to suggestions on other forms of payment (I do NOT have Zelle), and NOT accepting regular PP, due to added tax form at end of year.
If you are in the Florida area, you are MORE THAN WELCOME to come check it out, and pay with cash.
