This amp started life as a 1976 Marshall Model 1986 but was modded by Hermansson Amplification in Sweden with his 3-Stage mod. Description from his site: "I've installed the Hermansson 3 gain stages circuit, dual footswitchable gains and volumes, footswitchable gain boost, punch control, punch range switch, presence range switch, dark switch, mid switch and bright switch and an effects loop." The amp has original transformers and comes with the footswitch. Henric's stuff rarely comes up for sale, especially a Marshall (they take far longer for him to complete versus the Rectos). Grab this rare opportunity today!

$3900 shipped via PP F&F or Zelle only.
I have plenty of references available, just PM me or ask around.

Man, too bad this isn’t the 5 I’d grab it! What are the similarities and differences from the recto? I got a recto and dig it.

It's a bit of a different thing from his modded Rectos. A different type of brightness with a more present midrange. The B/M/T controls work kind of like a Mark series amp where the more you turn them up, the more signal that comes through. The switches allow for an endless variety of tones and they are all interactive; so if you change one, the others will have changed, too. The Punch knob with the three way selector is key to getting the best out of the amp. Tip: As you turn the punch up, turn the Bass down. I usually run the punch around 11:00-1:00 and the Bass around 2.

Oh, about the gain... It has plenty of gain for most applications. It has just a hair less gain than the Recto. If you're into death or extreme metal, djent, etc. you might want the 5-Stage but I can only imagine how much unusable gain that amp must have.

I hear that. I’m a death metal guy. But yeah it gets to be a point where it’s too much. Dang this thing moved quick!
