I never dropped it. It's been in my rack for 10 plus years. I bought it used. I never noticed that ears until you mentioned it. There is a slight bend. Doesn't mean it was dropped, could have been something on with weight on top of it in a rack and not mounted (not by me). Didn't effect the function of the unit. Photos attached.
