The time has come...to trim the fat.
Keep the 100% keepers, move along the rest. This is the first of many items I'm going to sell.
This one is tuff. This most awesome Charvel style guitar was built by @scottosan
It's better than the Satchel and SC-1 I had. Scott won't say it, but I have no probelm saying that I prefer Scott's builds to the 2 Chubtones, and many USA Charvels I've played.
This particular build has a gorgeous birdseye maple Musikraft neck, that is hands down one of the best necks I've ever played. With a profile not unlike my Suhr Modern, this neck has rolled fretboard edges, 12" radius, and a satin finish that lets you feel the wood. Playing this neck feels like slipping on 20 yr old leather gloves. It just fits. Mated with a roasted alder body with killer relic job by MJT.
Scott put on a real old school German Floyd with a big ol brass block. This happens to be one of the reasons I'm selling. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get used to playing a guitar with a Floyd. It gets in my way.
It'll arrive decked using the trem-stopper.
Schaller tuners, look at that birds eye.
Relicd pickups are: SD Jazz A2 mag neck, and ToneNerd Roxy bridge.
The Roxy was literally created for this guitar. It had a JB with A2 mag, that was all mids. I asked Scott if he could wind something that had more lows, like the Suhr SSH+ in my Modern. He came up with the Roxy - killer pup with plenty of tight low end, lotsa grind, yet still open and reactive. He nailed it.
The volume pot was a no friction, push/pull Bourns, used to tap the Jazz neck for single coil. One of the reasons I'm selling the guitar is because the pot is exactly where I like to rest my pinky. That's also the reason that I changed the pot to a stiffer Gibson. I'm happy to swap it back to the Bourns.
I paid Scott $800 before prices got stupid high. I'm asking $800 + shipping. No case, but it will be packed to take a bomb blast, and insured. No trades. I'm cleaning house. More to come. Rocca???? Yeah.
