Beautiful and super-resonant guitar! If you are a fan of open airy tones with mega sustain and dynamic vintage tone, look no further. what can I say about Hamer? I have never played a bad one -ever! Now, I have never touched an import but all the USA made Hamers I have owned have been far and away fantastic guitars that easily rival Gibson's best custom shop efforts. The neck on this one is a little larger than I am comfortable with so she has to go : (
7.5lbs on my postal scale. Neck measures .900 at the 1st fret and tapers to about .940 at the 12th. I wish there was a meter to measure sustain because this one is off the charts. It's a 1996 and is in EXCELLENT shape for a 22 year-old guitar. There is some light "hameritise" on the edge of the fretboard but it's not bad. A few impressions in the finish here and there as well but again, amazing shape! Frets are near mint. Set up to perfection and comes with OHSC. Ok, it's worth a second mention, this is a STUNNING guitar. I dare you to put this up against ANY Artist Top PRS (forget the ten tops) and never mind what you pay for those. This is a phenomenal find for someone!
