Such a cool little amp. I had a Splawn Super Comp Mini, which was this but just the drive side. Instead of a clean it had the onboard solo volume.
Right before I sold it I started finding some ways to set it up for lower gain and smoother tones that felt great to play. Kind of wanted to keep it, but was full swing in a gear flip stage and it had to go.
I did the Splawn QR for a while, but eventually grew tired of the high end of those amps. The Nitro is more controllable and less ear fatiguing in that area.

Without the foot switch it is on the dirty channel, OD1. As far as the mode, there are 2. there is a more bassy darker mode and there is a brighter more middy, less bassy mode. It sounds like maybe NItro is one mode and QuickRod is the other. Anyway without the footswitch it defaults the brighter mode, which IMO is the better sounding one. I almost never have the foot switch hooked up.
