If you are looking at this than you know what this is... -Don't you just hate ad's that start with that? -It's not a private club LOL
Seriously though if you do not know Gene then you should definitely start your collection here! Gene started as an apprentice under Roger Giffin at Gibson Custom Shop! Later Gene ascended to Masterbuilder at Fender along side John Suhr, John English, John Page (the Johns) and George Amicay, Jay Black, Larry Brooks, Jason Davis, Kenny Gin, Alan Hamel, Yasuhiko Iwanade, Mark Kendrick, Todd Krause, Alex Perez, Steve Stern, Fred Stuart, plus Art Esparza! A quich search of reverb or ebay reveals the pricing on Gene Baker Masterbuilt Fenders that are just shy of Jupiter!
In the late 90s Gene started to plan his exit to begin building guitars baring his name on the Headstock and Baker Guitars was born around 2001. This is a 2002 model and as every builder known those early years are critical so IMHO the quality and attention to detail (wood selection, electronics, build quality) reached it's apex and this B1 is a classic example with KILLER tone! All the specs are listed on the spec sheet below but a spec sheet cannot communicate how a guitar feels in your hands. This guitar resonates and sustains like nothing else, you can feel it in your hands, this instrument speaks to the player which is really rare! The tone is amazing and it can do almost anything!
