This is a JCM 800 from the early 80's, the guy I bought it from said it was an 81 I think. When I got this amp the face plate had been spray painted with gold paint. I cleaned it up and installed a new face plate from Mojotone, I also replaced the filter caps because the old ones were shot.The Guy I bought it from said it was modded at one time but that he had it put back to stock .There is an extra pre amp tube in the chassis but it looks stock and it has a plug in it.
This is one of the best sounding JCM 800's I've played, this is one of the few that came with 6550 's you can put EL34's in if you wish . There are some tolex scuffs and small rips but the amp is in good shape for 40 year old amp . There is no back plate, I can include a metro loop kit fro $40 if you want to put a loop in or I can install the loop for a fee if you wish .
