This amp absolutely screams and has the most Marshall sound of all the Engls I've owned. Actually sounds like a "better" Marshall to me. I've owned the Savage120, Fireball100, Blackmore, & have played other models and I honestly like this better than all of those. This one sounds meaner yet has a good feel under the fingers...the others felt very stiff and unforgiving. Nice cleans, great classic rock tones, but also can get EXTREMELY pissed off sounding for metal. Smack the front with a boost and it's as mean a voicing as I've ever heard. KILLER for thrash and death metal. Tight, fast, and just flat out angry sounding.

Low gain/hi gain button works on clean and lead ch allowing for 4 modes. Shape switch adds in a very warm mids forward eq shift. Killer effects loop with wet/dry knob and a killer built in noise gate.
