I am total shit at understanding ohm things for cab and speakers so I need a little help as the Soldano user manual is not so clear for me loll

I have a Marshall 1936 212 cab which I used to plug in my Jvm with one cable in 8 ohm.

See the back pannel of the Soldano, the speaker of the combo is 16 ohm so easy is plug in the 16 ohm.

Here are my 2 questions:

1- If I want to plug my Marshall 8 ohm cab, where do I plug it, 8 ohm left or right on the Soldano ?

2- Can I plug the cab and the combo speaker simultaneously ? If yes where ?

Thanks

1-Usually it is the one closest to the input (where you plug in your guitar cord.)
2- A 16 ohm and 8 ohm load will not jive. You need two of the same, ie. two 16ohm or two 8 ohm loads.

the 2 8ohm jacks (4ohms) means you can plug 2 8 ohm speakers into them. The 2 16ohms jacks (8ohms) means you plug 2 16ohm speakers in etc ... so you 8ohm speaker would go in to the 4ohm jack (either one) on the left

now technically you may be able to put both the 8ohm and 16 ohm in 4ohm side as both are greater than 4ohms ... 16ohm and 8ohms in parallel equals 5.33 ohms so you should be ok .. but the 16ohm speaker will be much louder

The pic you posted is showing you. They are parallel jacks. You have one for the 16ohm tap. This would go to a 16ohm cab.

You have 2 for the 8 ohm tap. This can either be one 8 ohm cab, or 2 x 16 ohm cabs. Impedance in parallel halves.

you have 2 jacks for the 4 ohm tap. This can either be one 4 ohm cab, or 2 x 8 ohm cabs.

If the jacks aren't labeled, I use the left one by default for one cab. If you are trying to use your combo speaker and another cab, make sure the extension cab is the same impedance as your combo speaker, and use the appropriate jacks. The speaker should be labeled with the impedance.
