So, I bought and modded this with the expectation that it was going to be my #1 but, as we all know, GAS is relentless! I sent it to Jens Kruse for the mods as he's done excellent work for me before. The mods include concentric gain/volume pots for each channel (footswitchable), a Variac with an incremental range from 5 to 100 watts, and a modded tone voicing with a switch that can revert the amp back to its original voicing. In other words, these mods mitigate any and all limitations the amp has in its original design and make it nearly perfect. The only reason I'm selling is because I ended up buying one of the new Soldano X88-IR preamps and it has all of the flexibility of the modded SLO plus dedicated EQs for each of three channels so, this amp is now redundant.
The amp is in pristine cosmetic condition and sounds incredible! If you're not familiar with Jen's mods, it's worth a looksee; he does quality work and stands behind his product.
No trades on this one; I have to recoup the funds spent on the X88-IR.
