Thanks my friends. It was a bit different this time - in a house with pool. All the previous years we took a motor camper. This "old fart vacation" isn't bad at all, although I prefer the gipsy (?) way.

Awesome pics. I had planned to go to Amsterdam (and then on to France) for a wedding earlier this month, but it just didn't work out. These great pics just piss me off even more we weren't able to go.

We were there during the festival. A big mistake. Way too overcrowded, but nice anyway. Arles was very cool though, Yoeri.

OUCH, during the festival, it can be hell sometimes. Arles indeed is also very nice, that whole region is great. Must have been there on vacation about 6-7 times. Nearly the entire Fransens-family would go on holiday there, renting a big ass house, I'm talking about 20 people from my grandparents to the 4 grandchildren. Those were great holidays.

Yup. La Provence - one of the most beautiful regions in europe I'd say. Warm as in Italy (but french ), lots of fruits and vegetables everywhere, superb landscapes from mountains down to the mediterreanian sea. Even some spanish influences - and roman influence too.
