Put my 100b through its paces yesterday, this amp is loads of fun

Man, NOTHING else on the planet sounds quite like that Red channel on an Ecstacy.

Incredible tones.

That is true. I've played many, many amps, but none sounds - and especially feels - like the XTC. The 100B adds a nice agression in the upper mids, almost like a more bouncy and dirty SLO flavour.

A pity Reinhold changed the design of the initial amp.

sounds great

Reinhold and i got something in the works that u guys will like. And no I cant say what it is yet

if that were it ther would be no need for anymore amps honestly

that would be the one and only amp ever needed in life

I still think Bogner should make a one-channel red-channel only amp, perhaps even a point-to-point version of the ecstacy red channel, and call it THE PLEXTACY.

and the red channel is the only thing about the amp I'm having a problem with. I like the clean, LOVE the blue channel, but the red channel gets slaughtered by my Fortin Cali mod. I'm trying to dial out that woofy congested bottom end, when i seem to get close i find myself lowering the gain, but then i want more saturation for just leads. And i have it in Cameron mode with the Marvel switch. Still tweaking,

Interesting you say that because a buddy of mine has had every Bogner you can thikn of. He sold his 100B and 101B because he said the Red channel never sounded right. Only liked the clean and blue. Now he plays Shivas.

I have to agree with Nick, I luv the red channel, 20th XTC Amp is just amazing all around.

i've found that the Cameron Red mode sounds woofy-er and looser than the post-2004 Red mode, which is tighter in the low end. it's too much gain, so i turn the gain knob down compared to where i run it when using the Cameron mode.

i've also found on my 101B that pre-EQ B1 on the Red channel is far tighter on high-gain tones than either N or B2. and i'm running the Red channel Excursion on the tightest setting. with that i get a great, very tight but not super-tight, chunky high gain rhythm tone.

for lead tones, i don't have as good an ear, but i have to change the settings pretty radically--pre-EQ N to smooth it out, Cameron mode to get that fatness, and gain knob up to compensate for the lower gain that mode has.

For lead tones I have to have a good EQ in the loop to really get those mids out and to pull back the lows and highs. Even on my Mod 50 I use an EQ for that....and that already has a 4th channel for a gain boost.
