They just released their new tracks on Telephantasm.

Sounds pretty good, like the old SG that I used to rock to. Chris Cornell sounds much more in synch and at home with SG.

from what I understand, this IS an old song, a leftover from the Badmotorfinger sessions. The whole album will be some kind of "revisited old stuff"

He IS hitting those notes nowadays! I just read my FREE issue of SPIN, complimentary of Lollapalooza. The September issue has Soundgarden on the cover and the cover story's on them. Anyway, this song is from the BADMOTO sessions, however, Cornell was said to have gone in the studio and add to the vocals. The producer said, "it blended right in, and you couldn't tell the difference. He sounds the same as he did 20 years ago", (and he was BELTING it out)... or something to that effect!
