SPAM: Egnater Mod 50 with SL2 and EG5 Modules

The amp is in mint condition and comes with the MIDI footswitch as well. I'm only interested in a Mesa Boogie Mark III plus cash or a newer Bogner XTC 101B (straight up) as a trade.

I don't think you'd be disappointed unless you like uber-tight-as-a-gnats-chuff 'tone' and nothing else...the UXL seems to be closest Egnater gets to tight metal..I mean it doesn't flub but you know how some people are

I compare my modded Ultra to ENGL in terms of tight and the UXL is in that ballpark.

Just invite yourself over..we don't have to do teh mapfest thing...although I'd like to hear a Splawn....even with my hamfisted playing

I really need the cash Jim, but I've always wanted to try a 101B. We've been blindsided by a ton of bills lately and I've been selling shit like hot cakes trying to get caught up. I'm either going to go with a 101B by itself or a DSL/MKIII setup.

EDIT: I haven't ruled out keeping the Egnater...it's a killer amp!

Well the newer 101b models are supposed to be sweet. The one I had which was an older veriosn was very warm. It was super sweet for some things but not a modern metal amp by any means. I've been told by a few that the red channel on the new 5153s is similar to the 101b's red channels. That would be cool. I'll find out tomorrow.

both modules are great, but being the metalhead that I am...I prefer the EG5

Yeah but you wouldn't sell it if you really loved it. What isn't that you didn't satisfy you with the Eggie stuff? I feel partially responsible since i know you got inspired to get it after hearing my rig.

I vote for going with the DSL/Mark III setup. Best of both worlds in a Marshall and a Boogie. That Kramer guitar into my Mark III just sounds so fucking killer And with those killer cabs you have that's more than half the battle in getting a DSL to sound good, a DSL on old Greenbacks would sound nice.

And just think, with some patience you can get both of those amps for under $1500, and 1 XTC is going to cost you $2500.
