Touched on this in another thread but thought I would bring it into a separate thread - how is the overall wattage rating of a speaker cab determined? I believe it is the number of speakers in the cab X the wattage rating of the lowest rated speaker. e.g. in a 2x12, if I have a 25W greenback and a 60W vintage 30, the total rating of the cabinet will be 2X25=50W, correct?

This would mean that for an amp like the Renegade, I could not use a speaker rated 30W or less, no matter what the rating of the other speaker is, since the amp is 65W, right?

Thanks,

Correct. It's always 2 times the LOWEST wattage speaker in there.
