Speaker Comparison: Soldano 4x12 - V30s vs V30 Scumback BM75LD Mix

I preferred the all V30 here, I don’t have experience with the bm75LD but I have a pair of bm75 that sound great. I hear more mid push with the all v30 but the mix has some nice cut up top. Both sounds great 👍

Yeah, all V30s has more mids, but also sounds more congested. The mix is more open, and shows more musical detail.
Another cool thing with the mix, I get more use out of the tone knobs. All V30s, and all GBs, I wanna crank the presence and mids, dial back the treble to get the krang. The Scummies bring it.

Scumbacks are my favorite speakers and I love the BM75's I have. Listening to this though I like the V30 more. Maybe something about the pairing with the bm75ld, or just that you didn't adjust your settings on the amp for the new pairing, but it sounds too shrill and harsh to me. But you know what it's like in the room and what you like more

Scumback are definitely some of the best. I've tried a very good handful of speaker brands and types. I have to say V30 would be my all time favorite, they just work but the M75 are also incredible, maybe even better but im just so used to V30.

I did try the BM75LD which were also great but the M75 worked better for me which I found odd based on the descriptions.

V30s are a great all arounder and I love their versatility, especially live

But the bm75ld are the best speaker under a mic I think I've ever used

Edit: Here's the bm75lds with a splawn nitro phone recording

I didn't touch anything on the amp between the change. I wanted to see the difference.

Plus, they sound more open and detailed at low volume. Way more tolerable and detailed at lower volumes.

No matter what cab, I always have a V30 in there. Except for my 4x12 with all GBs. It's the best. Didn't care for the V30/GB mix. Digging this mix, for now.
Some Fane F70-gs have popped up locally. Super curious about those.

damn, im liking these. i have scumback 65's in my cameron 2x12 i really havent messed with much, think im going to now. killer playing as usual
