speaker type? in 412 CAB

use to play marshall 6100 anniversary with a normal 1960B cab and now switched to a herbert with 412 rearloaded cab
i'm still discovering ....the amp is wonderful but i find it difficult to get used to the intense mid sound of the cab,(that's why i took the rearl. in the first place ,they are smoother)clean it is billiant but channel3 is not what i really want.
chould i change speakers ?and what setup ? X with 2 vintage 30 and 2 g12k100???
or something else? what's about the hempcone thats now in offer?
what is the differense in sound?
 
As far as Peter Stapfer told me the G12K100 doesn't work at all in rearloaded cabs, so that won't be a option :no: If you want a G12K100 you'll need a frontloaded cab.

As far as the intense mids are concerned. That's also what I noticed with the rearloaded cab and also the frontloaded V30. There were simply way to much mids. FL V30 combined with G12K100 are G12K100 only will solve this problem.

I don't know where you are from. If you are from Germany I'd recommend giving Peter S. a call. Otherwise you might want to wait till the new Dillingen Made cabs become available.
 
Alnico Golds in an X-Pattern with something else. That will get you crazy good tones.

why don't they work in a RL cab?
btw i'm fromm belgium.
 
He said they just didn't sound good / right and a lot worse the front mounted.

great forum but i discovered it too late ,afther i bought my stuff
when i read everything here it looks like i got the wrong cab,it seems the FL is better!!

maby its best to find somebody with a FL and compare becouse what i'm getting now with the RL is already
blowin my head off ,its much much better than my old stuff
