From what I can tell, this hasn't been discussed here before, though it has been mentioned once by @rsm . Seems pretty cool. Not a whole lot of demos of people doing "traditional" rock/metal sounds though, the bottom two are probably the best ones I'm aware of. With the specific harmonic profile it generates it seems a bit synthy at times. Wonder what it'd sound like if you took the general idea, not the pedal, and ran each string through an individual plexi instead, or individual pre-amps, etc.

The Source Audio UltraWave (which I own for a few years now, replaced my Source Audio SoundBlox Pro MultiWave Distortion) does many similar sound (OD, dist, fuzz, ring mod, etc.), not individual strings but multi-band settings, in a smaller package; no need for a 13-pin connector

Neat, multi-band stuff is also on my radar. Like you said, it's not quite on the level as individual strings, but still interesting and useful. At some level I wonder why we don't hear about more guitar players trying stuff like this (multi-band, dry mix, multiple strings, etc...). I only got tipped off by various comments made in passing in stuff like mixing or music theory videos, it doesn't seem like there is a lot of discourse out there about this.
