Just got home from a really great concert: Disciple, Fireflight, and two other bands in Medford, Oregon! The guitarists in both Disciple and Fireflight were using Quickrods and the tone was HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY!!!
But I also liked how the amps cut through the mix. The two opening bands were using Mesa DRs and 5150s, and though they were heavy sounding too, they were also very muddy and didn't cut through the mix nearly as well as the Splawn QRs.
I've seen several bands now that use Splawn amps and must admit that I'm very impressed, even if I'm a diehard Marshall maniac! It's making want to buy one and see what I can get out of it.
