And now I have to buy a step up transformer again (literally sold mine two weeks ago)

I have a Poundcake Mk2 also. In my top 10 I've had for high gain amps. Plate voltage of 538, very punchy. Very underrated amp
I have been intrigued by this amp all the way to the very original harmony central amp review lists (1996 or 7?). Maybe the PT is an easy wire swap for 110v? Either way, looking forward to getting it in

Cool that you bought it, congrats! My tech wasn't able to get mine to US voltage, but it's been fine with just my step up/down transformer and they're cheap

Just gotta make sure the max voltage rating on the step trans is at least 3x the voltage rating on the amp. Getting a 1000-1500v rated one is recommended. Just in case.

my tech swapped my 25th anniversary one, but not sure if that one is different

You can send your amp my way, I will gladly take it off your hands, especially after the recent recall. Apparently, and no one knows why, it just ejects and shoots powerful lightning bolts of electricity back at the user! The level is clearly lethal
So you should immediately step back and unplug it, quickly package and send it.

I heard rumors if you send me the money for it I’ll send you the amp :)

Surely my friend! Let me know the cost of shipping. I wouldn’t want you to suffer exposure to lethal voltage. I have a special lightning proof suit I wear and it turns out I am THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD who can properly handle this precarious and dangerous situations. I will even send you a mystery box in return with an amp in it!
