Can anyone define what each tube in the chassis does, and whether they should both be 12AX7 or one 12AT7, and what the difference/benefit is?

And is there a schematic for the T/D module anywhere?

Thanks!

tube closest to input is input amp and the 2nd is a input buffer. We now ship them with 12ax7s used to use one of each but there is no real difference to us, but you may and thats ok. If we have a copy of we will send you a copy of the schematic but it will have no values on it.

I'm pretty sure I have one around here somewhere. Found it when I was cleaning out some historical shit in my closet. (Rebuilding my home studio)

Hey vjd, you're gonna have to give me a while. My town is filling up with hurricane Ike refugees. I work for the local public utilities, so we are having are hands full with disaster recovery plans and all kinds of preparations for our water and electric systems. Maybe next week if Jeff or Bruce haven't dug one up by then.

Yea, it's looking a little better for the San Antonio / Austin area where I am. Ike turned northeast. We will not be getting the 40-60 mph winds and 6-10 inches of rain originally forcasted. That will be Austin to Dallas as they catch the northern swing side of the storm. Seeing a lot of cars from Houston and it's bad memories time for me. Rita was not kind to my family almost exactly 3 years ago.

Hope everything works out man. :)

Thanks guys,

All looks good here in my area. My little brother rode it out in Houston, no damage.

I know other areas are not so fortunate and my heart goes out to anyone who has to deal with the tragedies that this kind of stuff deals us. Thoughts appreciated.

I have a recording session today at noon, so that should be fun. I'll try to look for that schematic later. In fact I think I just remembered where it is. I'll try to scan and post for you soon.

Spending some more time in my files this weekend. I am sure I will find this somewhere. I beleive I found it off Ned's Randall forum.

Okay vjd3,

I found what I have and unfortunately it is not the M4 schematic. Hopefully Jeff or Bruce can find that dor you ... sorry.

Well, thanks for trying, much appreciated ... no word from Jeff but who knows?!

I wont even get near Bruce right now..he is cranky and under the gun for the LA amp show...I know we have it but not sure where he put it. It's coming.

Jeff, didn't somebody post that on Ned's Randall MTS forum? You could look over there if you wanted. Ned is the forum moderator, he goes by Ned911, super cool dude, he lives up the road from me in Austin. I'm sure he'd be helpful if it is indeed there on his forum.
