Let me say, VERY impressed. That little pint sized, puny thing puts out some serious tone. Played it thru an Egnater Tourmaster 2x12 cab. (I think).

So why the heck not, it's Friday afternoon, I'm writing my review!

Tube Blend: Love it. Very noticeable different in feel and tone from the 6V6s to the EL84s. Low gain on the 6V6 is a great swampy fender deluxe vibe. Switch to EL84, and it's very voxy. Crank the gain, set the tube blend to the middle, and its a best of both.

Gain control is very use-able throughout the entire range. Setting the Master High, and using the gain as a "volume" gives you plenty of clean headroom. Set high, it's got a great, hot-rodded marshall thing going on, with lots of low end thunk, despite the EL84s.

I really like the simplicity. Seems it would appeal to both camps: you can set the amp clean and use pedals to get dirt, or you can set the amp to spit hot fire, and use your volume control to clean up.

Bottom line: great value for $600 beans. Rockin' amp.

I should stop by GC tonight see if they're in. Sounds like the perfect grab and go jam rig with a 1x12 that still doesn't compromise on ton and can fit in any car. It'd be cool to maybe even try stereo with the mod50 or d/w
