Strange Feedback with my VH4 when playing loud.

I recorded some clips for a demotape last week. I recorded at high volumes. When I used CH4 I got a feedback that did not stop even when I turned the guitar down. Is there something vibrating in the Amp that causes this? The feedback only stops when I change the channel.
Any idea?

ps.: clips will follow in a few Weeks!

Not sure if you are having the same issue I did, but check the hum trimmer pot on the inside of the amp, it's on the board closest to the input side of the amp, don't turn it too much, just a tiny bit and see if it changes the feedback issue at all... if you look at my thread I just had that says I was having an issue with my VH-4 maybe you can cross reference and see if you are having any of the same issues, always take a good preamp tube and place it in all of the sockets and see if that helps, from my experience 90% of problems with Diezel heads are tube related, good luck and PM me with any questions!

Check that your preamp tube in position v3 hasn't become microphonic, it's responsible for ch4.

I had the same issue. Bad preamp tube and/or bad gain pot (mine had a cold solder joint).

Hi Peter,
when I knock against the amp the knocking is only hearable when channel 4 is engaged. So I think it will be V2 because it´s the only tube that is used only by channel 4. So will I have to change the 12AX7AC5 HG+? I have one spare so I can try this. :)
