So I have been selling off gear and getting down to the basics …. sort of

Looking at the OB-1, Mobius and El Capistan for in front of amps. The Timeline and Flint for Loop.

Does the Mobius cover Chorus, Flange and Phase? Or do I need the Orbit for Flange/Phase?

I see on the Strymon site they have the Timeline and then to the right a group of individual or pedal specific effects and the Mobius and then pedals to the right.

Just wondering how close one unit can get to the other pedals

I have a Mobius, El Cap, and Timeline. The TL is in the loop. The Mobius covers all modulation from Chorus, Flanger, Phase, Vibe, Trem, you name it. It's such a space saver.

How do you like the Ice Mode in the timeline? Can you get it with a very subtle pitch effect? Almost like the micro pitch shifting?

Exactly the set up I want with the exception of a Compressor. OB-1, Mobius, El Capistan in front and Timeline in loop.

Thinking of the Flint for my 20th X loop also Dan, does the Timeline have good reverb/trem?

I've been amazed by the ElCap while not really found of the Timeline. BlueSky is the next one on the list.

I personally think they all have their unique voice, but of course the Mobius would more or less cover the Ola, Orbit, Lex and (to a lesser extent) Flint sounds.

out of interest how you powering all of them?

1 or 2 power supplies, or each separate adapters ? , i've had the el cap for a while now, killer pedal

2 power supplies...Voodoo Labs Digitals.

How is the vibe on the Mobius?

The Mobius is great but it didn't make me want to sell off any of my pedals that it's copying. No slam on it though cause I love it. Super cool.
I use it mainly with a looper and clean tones with my Bruno. I'm looking for purity with the Bruno and the bypass signal I think is just a little lacking.

As far as tremolo goes, the trems in the pedal are excellent but I have a Empress tremolo to run with it because you can't do two effects at once.

So the two down sides for me are - not being able to do two effects and the bank change function with having to hit two buttons at the same time is a hassle.

I'll own an El Capistan eventually. Their Rotary Sim sounds amazing in the clips too. I wouldn't mind having one.

I hear that, the rotary is great... I've been de-gassed for the Neo Ventilator now.

I was considering going this route also but running multi effects at once and being able to switch between them without tap dancing or adding a midi controller defeated the purpose. I purchased the timeline and kept all my other pedals for easy switching live.

U have a gcx switcher and LFP don't you? I would put them in that.

I using my RJM Rg-16 and GT Mastermind.

Because I'd have the Time Line in the loop and one in front.

Mobius is fantastic! I was lent one from a friend for a couple of weeks. I love the fact that you can pre-post it with your amp. I had the chorus, phaser, flange, etc running through the front and some of the other effects running through the loop.

sounded fabulous.

Picking one up in July....it's the final piece for my board.
