I know that the herbert can remember up to 128 midi presets. Does that mean that i can dial in a tone on lets say channel 3, save it to patch one on my midi controller, then lets say turn up the mids, save it again and save it to lets say patch 2? In other words can i have several eq'd versions of ch 1 2 and 3 or only one version that can be stored in like 128 places?

No. The dials will always produce the sound they're set to. It just means that you can store fx-patches from a midi-capable effects-processor, plus the midcut, master 1 and 2, etc.

is it possible scottph to save a preset on channel 2 with the - switch and another one on channel 2 with the + on?

i'll receive a nobels mf1 so i'd like to know it now!! :)

no, the +/- is not midi switchable.

You should be able to assign your midi controller to switch the latch for the +/- if it has jack switching cababilities. Therefore it would be possible to assign a midi chanel for each.

i don't know, it's a used Nobels MF1 maybe not...
i don't rememberi read that functuion on the manual.

the Mf2 can

You would need to perform the +/- switching mod first (which is on this forum). It allows you to switch the +/- using a simple latching footswitch.

Boo.. so basically i only get 3 channels right?
I know that i can use the mid cut for any of them. but what im saying is that i can only have 3 SAVED tonal choices to sync with my effects processor right?
..or is there another way i can get 1 more?

Three with midcut, three without, three with master1, three with master 2. A little flick of a switch or modification and +/- is switchable.

It's a three channel amp.

I know its a 3 channel amp, but i got excited when i heard that it saved up to 128 presets.
So since its 3 with midcut, 3 without midcut, 3 with micut vol 1, 3 without midcut vol 2, that means that i can REALLY access 12 distinct tones via midi? If so, thats awesome. If not thats still ok.

That's how it works, yeah.

The 128 means you can have 128 MIDI-storable presets from your effects unit on the 3 different channels.

haha..ok last time.
So i get 12 different total tonal choices that i can save via midi?
Im just making sure. Im getting confused because im not looking for tonal choices that i can switch manually. I want to know only how many tonal variations i can access with my midi pedal.

Clean
Clean midcut
Clean Master2
Clean Master2 midcut
Crunch/Rythm (depending on +/- switch) - same as above
Lead - same as above

Hope that helps, and yeah, Master2 changes your tone too. :)
