So this is a photo of the back of my new diezel RL cabinet with hempcones and the GK100's.
How should i connect this to my herbert stereo? Do i use both the 4, 8, or 16 ohm outs of the herbert into the cabinet?

Thanks in advance.

Whoa, back up a second here - does the Herbert offer stereo output??? I thought the Herb was a mono amp?? If so, and if my memory serves me correct, there may be 2 output jacks on the rear of the Herbert for dual cabinets (as it is a beast, c'mon)... If so, you use the 2 jacks labelled 16ohm, and plug a jack into each of the sockets on the rear of the cabinet. 2 x 16ohm out into 2 x 16ohm in. If you're only running ONE cable from your amp to your cabinet, you run it from the jack that says 8ohm output on the rear of the Herb to the 8ohm MONO jack (the silver labeled one) on the back of your new cabinet.

Peace,
V.

Rob,

use one cable from the mono input 8 ohm of the cab
to one of the both 8 ohm output jacks of the Herbert.

Thanks,

Peter

For stereo usage with say a Pre/Power Amp the cabinets are 16ohms stereo correct?

You are correct, I am so used to running my Herbert and other amps or Pre/Power Amp Stereo. I just assumed (bad thing to do) that he was running the Herbert in some type of Stereo System. The Herbert by itself is definitely only mono.....

Diezel Herbert S? Peter?? Maybe someday?

8ohms out of the Herbert into 8ohms of the cab. The Herbie is mono. So no stereo for you Rob! :D

Oh..haha..Thanks
I was running 2 cables out of both the 8 ohm outs into each of the cabinet inputs last night at practice.

Can this affect the tone etc..? Because im guessing i was either overloading or underloading the amp.
I wasnt necessarily all that pleased with it for some reason last night..

Both cabinets would need to be 16ohms mono for this to match up correctly. If both cabs were 8ohms mono then you should have been using the 4ohms out to each cab from the Herbert. I am not sure how this would affect the tone others can speak here, but it is not good on the amplifier transformers, etc... based on my understanding. Hope that helps some, and sorry if I misunderstood anything.

...Anybody know if this can affect your tone..? (causing speakers to sound overloaded etc..?)
