Hey guys, maybe you can help me out before I go crazy ;)

I do have hum from my guitar, and if I touch the floyd it goes away.

the ISP decimator kind of take care of that, but as the note fades away the noize re-apparears.

what could be wrong?? it's a set of BKP pups. the inside of the cavity is shielded with some metalic stuff...

THANKS !!

Sounds like a grounding issue to me. Most guitars i have make some noise until i touch the bridge..then it goes away.

Yeah that's what I think... but what do I do ?? I can't locate either a cold solder joint or anything

You have a ground issue. Do you have a ground coming from the bridge? Do you have the pickup selector grounded properly? Is the ground from the jack grounded properly?

RJF. Yes, Yes and Yes (I think.. looked over 3-4 times )

Do you use coated strings??

The way grounding works in most guitars is the bridge is grounded, and your fingers touching the strings grounds your body through the bridge. If you use coated strings this grounding will not work (as I found out the hard way). If not try a different cable. Some noise is caused by RF from cell phones etc, and RF traveles in strange ways.

Since all your guitar grounds are ok have you tried a different power socket?

i don't know if GHS strings are coated....

I don't think that they are.

BTW I :inlove: with your avatar pic

Try a different cable with that guitar, or a different gutiar with the same cable. Look at the wiring, and see if anything has two paths to ground. Other then that try turning down the volume pot on the guitar, and see if the hum goes away.

Also since you play a Diezel a little hum through a Diezel would be a massive wall of hum on any other amp so
