Hi guys!

Maybe you're aware about that.. Laney will sell in few months the Iron Heart studio, which allow the user to record and reamp the Ironheart, in silence... without using a loadbox or cab simulator or whatever. Reviewers say that it sounds great, and It seems to be very very interesting to me...
I was thinking about silent recording my VH4 and/or reamp it ..
That would be great if we could directly plug our favourite head in the sound card and record it with a similar tone than if we were miking a diezel cab..
I know that there are stuffs like the Two notes Torpedo Live or reload , who would solve this problem. But, i was just thinking about that..

Am I the only one interested in this kind of stuff?

(sorry if my English isn't perfect..)

See U!

i would go for impulses
yes two notes is a posibility
there are free solutions when it comes to IR just search forums etc

I use the PI modern from two notes and im happy
i cant mic here at home so its the best option, also cheaper cause i dont have to buy a other head

For sure there is interest and market for this, but personaly I love all the hazzle in micin the cab so no thanks for me. Direct inputs are for digital instruments and I prefer my guitar analog.

Don't care. Guitar, Cord , Diezel and cab. That's all you really need.

Word.

Sort of like a blow up doll versus the real deal. Both are available and will do the trick, up to you which you pursue.

I agree with you Mark. In a perfect world I would. but imagine that you're living in a small apartment with sh_tty walls, how could you mic your cab? i'd love to.. but.. I have to find something like that to keep playing at home.

I was just dreaming about a kind of vh4-studio :)
So that was just a suggestion, if Mr Diezel could think about it.. or not! didn't want to compare analog vs digital. both of them have their advantages/disadvantages I think.

but like shadow007 said, actually, I'll have to think about IR/two notes stuffs! cause I don't want another sound than my VH4

In situations I cannot play "loud" I use isolation cabs. They do not sound exactly the same as good cabs that are allowed to "breath in open air", but after some experimentation with a bit different micing technique my results have been still much better than with any DIs.
