Cool!!

Ive been diggin a lot of the lower wattage amps lately. I really love the reinhardt 18 watter and the Kingsley stuff is off the hook!!

Thanks for the clips!

I am with ya on the Vox comparison..I really like it!

Sounds a lot like a Vox, especially the jangly quality. But the gain sounds a bit rattier to me.

Gain is definitely rattier then a vox. It has a grit to it that I don;t dig at all but to each there own!! FWIW, I love the reinhardt much better but that's just my opinion. The reinhardt has a complexity to the tone that Im not hearing in the badger. The reinhardt has a blues saraceno's vibe to it IMHO.

Check it!

You are also hearing the WCR Goodwood pickups influencing that tone. I have those in my Les Paul & they are awesome! I really enjoy the clips on the Reinhardt site.

Mark,

Those pickups sound amazing through that amp!!
With that said, I would love to own one of the reinhardts someday but even at 18 watts they aren't condo friendly amps lol :D (Can you say hotplate? :D )

Yeah, I usually run a hotplate with my amps too. I live in a house that has a considerable distance between us and the neighbors, but I can still be heard.

Reinhardt has recently started putting master volumes on the back of his amps. I don't know how this would affect the overall sound. There are three used ones over on the Gear Page -- a purple one, a green one, and an orange one. Hard not to pull the trigger at those prices!

I would love to have the purple one but I don't have the cash and wont have any for a long time. I have to take care of the credit card debt first!!
That said, I've always had a problem shelling out that kind of cash for an 18 watter. Even at $1200 the price still bothers me because you can get so much used gear for that type of scratch. Hell, you can take Bruce egnaters amp building course for $200 more and get a ton of experiance building amps and you get a hotrodded amp at the end of the course!!
Its purley psychological because I love the tone of the reinhardt but I know I'll have a tough time coughing up th dough!!
