Ed / John:
what styles of music are your Jazz pickups really well suited for? They seem to be very crisp, clear, and warm from the Guthrie clips I heard on your website. I'm looking for a set of pickups that would do well with slapping, finger style mainly. I mainly play blues, rock, harder rock. I am looking at a set of your Jazz Humphrey pickups and the 2-band EQ. What is the knob config of the wiring harness? I presume it is Master Vol, Blend, Bass, Treble. Are there any trim pots on the wiring harness to "adjust to taste?
Is the neck pickup smaller in width than the bridge? What are the widths of the pickups at both the neck and bridge positions? Are the pickups 18V compatible? Who is the best dealer to buy the bass pickups from?
Anything else you can let me know about the pickups, I would be most appreciative. I've tried EMG P/J sets, Bartolini P/J and JJ sets, and something is just left to be desired. The bartolini pickups have been my favorites so far though. The guitar I would be putting them in is a Warmoth G4 guitar. It's a hard ash body with a Wenge neck and Ebony fingerboard.
Thanks,
Eric
