Really liking the Suhr PT-100 SE! I had one of the original CAE PT-100's back in the day and it sounded great but I much prefer the feel & tone of this updated model. Would be real interested to check out the PT-15 as well. Killer amp for sure, hope you dig it!

Sounds great man! I've had a few PT100's myself over the years. Killer amps. Video and audio in the video look/sound awesome!

Nice vid

On the gain side the Suhr PT or SE is pretty flat
There is has a nasal freq in the PT that I couldn’t dial out. I can hear it in the vid
You think it’s working until you plug in another amp and realise what was missing

Eventually decided they didn’t suit what I was looking for and moved to other brands

Exactly my finding as well with the PT, nasal midrange that can't be dialed out. Probably works well with certain guitars and speakers but its a very specific tone.

This is why I sold mine too.
I is a great amp, but when you plug side by side to a tighter amp, it is a little fizzy and a little lost.
Despite it, Pete Thorn and Psycodave could make a Gorila sound like a US$4000 dolar amp anytime.

Different strokes. The PT-100 is a killer amp. I know exactly what folks are talking about with that midrange “honk”. I LOVE that aspect of the amp. Gives it character. Like my old Marshalls.

This talk about mids reminds me of people talking about the “weird mids“ in the Splawn QR. To each their own, but those amps are great too.

Indeed!

Yeah, there is a bit of a cocked wah quality to it. I don't have a problem with that actually. I don't dig all the fizz in the top end though. There is almost like a white noise kind of thing going on in the treble, which I find distracting.
