Suhr Riot Adapter?

I got my Suhr Riot pedal today (awesome pedal!!). I have played a bit with it and it sounds really good. I can't wait to try it thru a really clean amp. Anyway, I've only been able to use it by inserting a 9 volt battery. When I try to use an adapter, the pedal just blinks and no sound comes out. Anyone know what is causing this?

Are you using the correct voltage, amperage, and polarity?

I'm just plugging a 9 volt adapter into the pedal. What would I be able to adjust to ensure that?

The amperage should be fine given the Riot's super-low current draw. I can't find a manual for the Riot, but if it's the same as the Koko, you should want a negative tip/centre adaptor, identified by the below symbol:

Double-check with your Riot's manual that you need negative centre, though. There should probably also be markings on the pedal itself indicating which polarity it needs.

Thanks! I'll take a look.

Good luck :) If worst comes to worst, by all accounts Suhr's customer service is awesome, so I'm sure it'll be fine.

Thanks for your help. I plugged my 1-Spot in again since it is the type you mentioned, and I was able to get it to work. Looks like the problem is that the pedal's 9V connection sits a bit down in the pedal chassis so you really have to shove the plug in there and occasionally it comes out. Not sure if another brand would work better. Regardless it works, and since I can use a battery anyway, no big deal.

Killer sounding pedal though!

Mine is the same way. I use a 1spot with a daisy chain hookup into my Maxon, Suhr Riot, Boss EQ7 and Fulltone FB2. It hasnt pop'd out but I did have to push it in deep. ;)

I had the same problem with the one spot daisy chain and my Shiba Drive, I might see if I can use something to make the one spot a tighter fit
