so...its time for my yearly replace/try new OD pedal.

ive been using my MI audio Tubezone (6 big knob version) @18V as a clean boost on my framus CS EL84 30 W amp. i like it, but ive decided to use it for a high gain sound on another amp instead.

anways...i want to try out the SUHR SHIBA drive.

anyone use this to boost and amps gain (ie setup with gain on min/volume to suit)

i want to have my Framus set to clean channel (AC30ish clean) have the Shiba ON for Slight/mid gain for rhythm, and also use the shiba with my amps lead channel(matchless DC30ish gain) for more sustain/gain for heavy rhythm and leads (with minimum hissing/unwanted feedback)

anyone have experience using the shiba like that?
running at 18v?

nevermind...answered my own question...

VERY IMPRESSED with the Build quality/features and sound/tones
does exactly what i wanted it to do.

gonna have to pick up a riot now (wifes orders, since all my pedals have a blue theme, the hotplate needs something to match it) and a koko boost.

i lol'd!

sounds like something i'd do..

make thread, pull trigger immediately after clicking 'submit'. win!

The Koko is a MUST. Use the mid boost side of the Koko with the Shiba and used the mid-switch for the voicing on the Koko and solo all day long

funny how gas strikes dunnit?

theres no clips on youtubes of the shiba with amp gain, but a i decided to just take the plunge anways.

the mid voicing switch is very subtle...has me curious as to what the values change and how drastic they are.
