Are the necks for the Pro Series the same as the ones made for the Standard and Classic? Whats the major differences, is it worth it to pay more for a Classic/Standard than order a Pro Series? Going to probably check out Tone Merchants this weekend to try a bunch of them.

i believe everything is exactly the same...the only difference is that you can't choose options on the pro series...how they come is how they come...if you want a different bridge/neck profile/etc...you'll have to go custom order classic/standard

Hmm.. Cool, guess I should just try out the pro-series ones first, I am not too picky with options, as long as neck feels right

From what I understand they are pretty much the same with no custom features to slow down production, but you won't know which one you want till you play them, right?

They added 3 more models to the Pro series S4,S5,S6. I have gas for a suhr guitar, but it will have to wait till' next year. I already purchased alot of gear in the last 3 weeks.

Yeah was just looking at the Tone Merchants website and saw those, they seem really awesome for those prices considering a used standard or classic sells for almost nearly that much  I am about a 15 min drive from Tone Merchants so I might check it out on Saturday morning before I have to slave it up again at work for the entire weekend :aww:

I got to try one of the Pro series models. It was alright but didn't blow me away. Neck felt kinda plastic to me.

Is there a reason why these are cheaper than the Standard/Classic other than being able to fully customize the guitar? Are any of the parts gimped out?
