hi!
is it necessary to power the m4 preamp down while taking modules in and out...?
is it recommended to let tubes cool down qhuite a lot before replacing them....?
can anyboday tell me whether v1 is for channel one while v2 is for channel 2, or ist it that both, v1 and v2, are both working on both channels...? (looking at the front panel, v1 is the left one and v2 the right one, right?
thanks a lot,
rudi
p.s.: i´ve put two jp 5751 in v1 and v2 of my vox module and it sounds amazing...has anybody tried something he likes more...? actually i´m also searching for the right tubes for my sl, td and eg5..any hints?

I would at least put the M4 in standby while changing out modules to help minimize any possible potential problems.
V1 tends to shape the sound while & V2 has more to do with the gain.
I'm also using the JAN 5751 in V1 slots on the DLX & VX and I love em.

Personally I don't. I just make sure that another module is selected.

Personally I don't. They don't get that hot to the touch at least for me.

V1 is typically the input tube where the "gain" stage lives. V2 is usually used for EQ. V1 affects the tone the most in all modules. V2 you just want a good sounding tube w/ low noise.

I use two JP 5751s in my COD module, 1 5751 in V1 of my VX and DLX. All other tubes in my modules are ARS 12ax7a. The ARS 12ax7a tubes I get from Trace @ voodoo amps all burned in and hand selected are the best all around tubes i've used to date. The JP 5751s do sound amazing in the DLX, T/D, VX, COD, etc ESPECIALLY in V1. V2 of the COD I use it for sure.. In my DLX, it lost too much life w/ a JP 5751 in V2.
