I did a Helldivers 2 themed riff challenge the other day. One of my coworkers asked if I could get a St Anger ish snare tone and some semi scooped guitar so decided to see how that sounded.

Chain is Orville LPC with bk mules -> Fortin TS9 -> Syn1 + Herbert -> PS100 -> neves RNDI box -> bogner cube. Cab is a GGD contenders vst. I'm liking how it came out, snare and all lol. As for Helldivers 2, I got sucked in by some friends... diggin it so far.

Thanks guys! Synergy is cool tech, just wish my blind ass eyes and giant grape ape hands could see the knobs n shit better lol. I just saw they released a new Slo synergy module today. I might have to grab that one...

Ok that was awesome as usual! Off topic but I have a question about this synergy stuff... If I want to try this, all I need is the SYN1 and a module to start with, right? I have a KSR PA 50 that I would use for the power amp. Other question, I'm torn between 3 modules for my first. Which one do you recommend I start with... Herbert, Powerball or Uberscschall?

Yeah man, you just need the Syn1 and a module. Paired with that PA 50 it would sound awesome.

As for a first module of those 3 thats hard. I didn't try the Uber module cause I have a Rev green and never tried the Powerball. I got the Herbert cause I literally have never seen a Diezel amp for sale locally where I'm at and really wanted to take a test drive without dropping a fat sack... So I would say Herbert of those 3, definitely prefer it with a boost. I've heard good things about the Uber though and would take a look at the Deliverance module if you like the Fryette sound. If I didn't have an Ultralead I would have scooped up that module first personally.

Sounds great man. Curious why you opted for a power amp through the RNDI then into a cab vs just going DI out of the Fryette?

I kind of like how it sounds thru the RNDI to be honest, not sure what it is. I really need to record a comparison to see just how alike or different it is running IRs with the Powerstation vs the RNDI. I feel I get more of a thicker tone. One day I'll compare them, RNDI vs Waza TAE, Suhr RL and PS100.

Depends on what sounds you like. Powerball for more upper mids, Uberschall for more lower mids. I haven't heard the Herbert module. I have 7 others though.
