TAD 12 AX7 for Herbert

First off hello everyone!!! Im new to the board but have been following it for a while.

So.... I think it is time to replace the pre-amp section of my Herbert, i spoke to Watford Valves about this and was recommended the TAD 12 ax7, has anybody used this tube / are there any other great suggestions. I play progressive metal and like a nice fluid sound with a balanced sound, I cannot stand cut mids (except for certain sections - god bless the mid cut).
 
I'm pretty sure that's a Chinese, just like the stock ones.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the Tung-Sol 12AX7. Very nice balanced, musical and pure sound, not as biting in the top-end as the EHX ones I tried, nor as dark and gainy as the JJs. I've never had any reliability issues with them either.
I haven't tried the TAD ones to compare though.
