Taking a Chance witha used TourMaster?

Hi.I have a chance to by a used Tourmaster from GC.
With all the bad transformer talk I'm a bit leary. Should I pull the trigger on it. Thanks to all

.......as your attorney, I advise you to take a hit out of the little brown bottle in my shaving kit. You won't need much, just a tiny taste.

how much do they want for it?
check the serial # and MAKE sure the amp has an M at the end of it. if so, it has the "m" mod from the factory, or, could be handwritten in if it was serviced post factory.

if not, dont' even sniff the fucking power tubes on it when they get hot.

they r good amps. you just gotta get the right one. see post above 60cycle. he had a bad experience, not everyone will. you gotta keep on nate when you need something....it's just the way things are.

OK, I got the amp for $699 with a 1 year GC warranty at a extra $79. Sounds great. The only tag for a serial number I can find is a
Small white stick on label that says A1D08
Should the Reverb light on the amp go out when the footswitch button is pressed. It only goes out on the footswitch.

Well, After several E-Mails to Egnater, Regarding the serial Number went unanswered.
It started to have a burning smell at rehearsal, Needless to say, It has been returned .

Well ya can't see the other Turdmaster in these pics very easy on stage but we had two of them representing on stage for the largest night parade in the south east, the 75th annual Edison Festival Of Lights, when we headlined it. Close to a hundred thousand attended throughout the day and night.
Keep on playin em even after they wouldn't replace the transformer in the 2nd one....But when ya don't have the funds to switch, whadya gonna do ......should have taped over that name

There are two sides to every story. I know 60cycle is mad about the incident. Would like to stop rehashing this and move on. I regret I don't always have the ability to make everyone happy. If I could go back and fix it, I would but 60 sort of went around my previous attempt and I failed. Can't correct it after the fact. No further discussion needed, really. I do want to clear up a couple of things, and please don't mistake this as looking for sympathy or rehashing. As far as all of the 100 of thousands of people comment it's really more over each year than that show you see why below, I'm sure theres a ton of you affected out there as well. I ask that you please take the time to read and let me explain how quickly we can all get judged and sometimes what a mistake occasionally that can be.
I receive no money for anything music related, that's zero nadda absolutely none. I play in a 4 piece all employee band where I work, yes I have a normal pay the bills day job. We are made up of, I guess you would call us ex-pro's players that have been around the block a few times and have a reason now to give back. I don't care to go into all the accolades or accomplishments or drop names that would be as tacky as I guess I am viewed on Rig Talk(Egnater section).
Ok I will get to the story to make those of you who think I've acted inappropriate or wanted something for nothing to look inside and think twice. My Mother a professional, loving, healthy 64 year old Lady was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer and died almost 1 year to the date after the the news. From perfect to death in 12 months. This June she will have been gone from my life for 1 year. After her diagnosis I decided to only play for charity ONLY. So our main events are United Way, most all Cancer related, Mentally challenged adults and children. I use every piece of PA, lighting and guitar, keyboard and studio rig that I own to outfit a rehearsal space provider by my employer (and that is all they give us, other than exposure for their public image campaign). We utilize this to play the smaller events and then sound and lighting is provider for larger scale by the event. All 3 guitarist I rotated through I have had purchase Tourmasters on their own dimes as well. We all enjoyed the sounds, but have had the repairs like none have ever experienced a couple jumped ship right away and I felt obligated to defend my choice and forged on with saving for TM purchase number 2 which of course is the one that the tranny went.
So enough of my rattling on the soapbox....I've been scolded, ridiculed on here so I took it and shut up for a while just thought I would stop and give a bit of finality to the possible misconception so that maybe it will bring clarity and hope you never have to take a loved one to a cancer center for treatments as you watch them deteriorate.

One last thing, Bruce....What again was the resolution you speak of? I missed that I guess.

This is from a single Dad, raising 3 boys, playing music, paying it forward trying to help maybe somebody down the road, hoping Egnater could see I use the product and dig the tone and was flying their flag proud and high as hell I wasn't tryin to lie or rip anybody off, just needed a second purchased Egnater Tourmaster like my 1st one either shipped right back in almost immediately, repaired and back up and running or a pot sent to me for.
