Techincal questions XTC

I wanted to ask a couple of questions about the XTC, I haven't gotten the amp yet but wanted to know the following...

1. First of all can the wheat grill be replaced without changing the whole headshell?

2. The master volume in the front of the amp works only when the Loop is on? If the loop is off does each channel volume act as a master volume for the amp?

3. Can you switch between Old / New, Class AB / A with the amp ON?

Hey Nico,

1. I believe so.
2. There is no Global Master Volume on the front of the amp. The 3 channel volumes are the Master Volume for the XTC. With the (serial) loop engaged, then the FX Return Level control would function similarly to a "global" Master.

FYI, Bogner will tell you that you cannot change the wheat grill to metal. . .but you can (I did).

Unless they've changed thier design of the headshell.

How much do they charge for the metal grill?

Its a 2004 XTC... Was it hard to replace?
