i'm considering getting a ESP Vintage Plus strat, looks like this but has abalone inlays instead of black:

any experience with those? never had a "real" ESP (only LTD) so my expectations are kinda high.... :scared:

I cant tell you much but the new George Lynch Classic Strat or whatever they call it is SEX-I-FIED!!!

I was just talking about that guitar to Danyeo and also saying that the price isn't bad either. $1,600 or so new for a signature MIJ ESP!!! Want to get my hands on one to play before they wise up and hike the price up $500 or $600.

^ true dat

hmmmm  i gotta see if i can try the guitar before getting.

the other news is that the guitar's model is "Vintage Plus" - i guess the "Plus" goes for the pickguard and pu's. :D

They're nice guitars if you can deal with tiny frets. That's the only reason that I sold mine...

Are those Lace Alumitones in there? Get it just to try those bad boys out!

well, no, unfortunately those are "normal" SD vintage rails. but i'd like to try those Alumitones too

I have a esp gl56 which is the lynch version of the vintage strat and it awsome, I got it for 1250 brand new and I'm being honest when I say this, I love it more than the 56 relic fender custom shop strat and the 60 custim shop fender I had, it feels, sounds and plays awsome. I don't mind paying for the fender customs but I actually like my esp better. My friend has a couple real fenders from the 60's and he likes his gl56 better than them

now that sounds serious. thanx for the input zao. i think i'm just gonna bid and see what happens.

if i get it for what i think i will (around $700) then i'm positive i could sell it without loss (just in case i don't like it for whatever reason).

Glad to be able to help, I know not every gl56 is gonna be as good as mine and I know there gotta be some even better, the neck is thin unlike the other lynch models, it has a pearly gates in the bridge, and it has the big frets, I hate vintage frets.

I haven't played the vintage esp strat that your looking at so I can't comment on the neck or frets.
But the vintage lynch I have is well built and I'm sure the one your looking at is also.

The ron wood tele is awesome, so I imagine the strats are pretty good too

didn't they.... overreact on the relicing a bit?

i mean, it could be a little less no? :aww:

:D
