I have a line on an older T-75 from a friend and was thinking about mixing with my Elite 80. I constantly hear the 75 is the worst speaker ever made by Celestion and tht the CL80, K-85 and K-100 are all improvements. However, I know Eric and Jason have had good luck wirth the 75s!

So, what's the scopp?

personally I don't like that speaker much, but sometimes it works with the right amplifier. It is good for cleans imo, but sounds hollow and harsh with drive. It works better when paired with something else, but by itself I think it can sound kinda ugly. It has more low end then say a V30 but sounds hollow

Thanks, that is what I hear from lots of friends. I might stick with the stock Elite 80s till I can get something better.

I bought a T75 from aeroic a while back. I'm using it with an Elite 80 in my TM 212. I have liked it better than the 2 Elite 80s stock. It sounds good but lately I've been itching to try something else...

Try some Eminence speakers. Best bang for the buck!

If the T75 is the worst speaker ever made...then why have it and the V30 sold more than any other speaker...ever!

The T75 is a good speaker...in the right cab....with the right amp. I do love it for cleans...and mid-gain...or hard rock stuff. It mixes quite well with a CL80. But in the end...it wasn't the speaker for me.

I personally have to say the K100 / K85 is the best speaker Celestion has made in the higher wattage areas. (This is not including greenbacks...g12h30s, etc.)

I agree man. The T75 / CL80 combo is definitely a good combo...but in the end there was always something left to be desired for me. Hence Scumbacks. But...this is STILL a killer combo...that sounds good across the entire modular line.
