A few months ago I was looking into the EVH Striped Series guitars but it never really panned out. Anyone own one of these or played it somewhere?

My current guitars are a Warren DeMartini Charvel and G&L Tribute. Wondering if I would like the EVH as much as the others or if I'd be disappointed. People seem to like them but you know how online reviews go.

Anyway, would appreciate any info. I'm a huge Eddie fan and have had the Wolfgang Special in the past so I'm familiar with the pickups. Other than that, wonder how it plays, etc. Thanks!

Friend of mine is a dealer. They're fantastic guitars and every one that I've played has been consistent. Very comfortable necks on these as well.

Thanks for the reply! I imagine the neck is the best part of the guitar and probably as good as my Charvel.

IMO they are at least as good as the MIM charvels, minus the neck pup ofcourse. If not mistaken the necks are very similar, I think the frets are even the same.
Before I bought my charvel, I wanted one badly but just couldn't find one for the right price....I guess the name and paint jobs (?) make them a tad more costly than the charvels.

Yeah, I was gonna say I picked one up in a store for a few minutes one day, and it reminded me A LOT of the Charvel Pro Mod series.

I had one for awhile but ended up selling it(not due to anything with the guitar). The neck felt amazing, and the guitar sounded great to me. Prob one of the most comfortable I've played. Only issue I had with mine was the fret ends were atrocious. Literally scratched the shit out my hand. Took it to my tech and he fixed them and when I sold it You'd never have know there was an issue. Overall great guitar!!

I love my Circles guitar! Just as good as the US and Jap pro mods, I have 1 of each, maybe a little less finish on the necks, the spoke wheel truss rod adjustment is a nice feature, I like the fact they're made in Mexico, like I was haha

In case you didn't see my demo video on the Circles it's in this thread

They are really great guitars for the money. The black and yellow one taunts me each day from the wall of my shop. :D

I have a '10 MIJ Pro-Mod and a B&W Striped Series and the necks are nearly identical. The only real notable difference I found was the fret ends on the EVH were sharp and needed dressing...but other than that, the feel of both was nearly identical.

I wish I still had the Slime Green Charvel I bought from you years ago when I was in Hawaii. I loved that guitar!
