Terminal Clips Instead of Solder?

I was thinking of using terminal clips to connect my pot terminals and also soldering terminal clips on the top of my pots to connect pickup wires. I've seen some quick connect stuff but am not familiar with that stuff, and also, I can get the terminal clips across the street at an automotive store. Some guitars take a few pickup swaps before you find the right ones, so it seems like it would keep the soldering cleaner. Is there any reason to avoid doing this or will it be a good idea?

I've done it and it works great for fast pickup changes. I heard no difference in the sound of the guitar with the same pickups. However, I used much different terminals - smaller, less bulky... They look like this and are soldered to the pickup wires:

Here's a link to some you can just crimp on instead of soldering (link to the female side is on the page as well). You crimp them on to the pickups wires and shrink wrap them if needed:

Yup, it'll work. The electrons don't care. The only concerns I'd have is that there's room in the control cavity and that they not come disconnected unintentionally (or accidentally contact things you don't want them too). If used them, I'd probably wrap the connection in electrical tape as insurance against both.

OK, thanks. It will be nice to have clean pots and nice solder joints. I'm not great at soldering those shiny, pretty little solder joints so this should make it less crappy looking and easier to manage.
