For making the Herbert! After owning a 5150, XXX, Dual Rec, JCM800 2203, JCM800 2203ZW, Vetta II, Flextone II, Krank Revolution, and a few others I can't remember, and trying everything else under the sun, I thought i would NEVER find a tone that just blew me away.

...until my Diezel arrived last week.

I've spent a bit of time playing it at home at moderate levels and thought it was pretty cool, THEN I finally got to take it to band practice and let it get cranked up and breathe...oh my God. It just sounds UNREAL. I was just tweaking it, standing there and ripping it up. Time was just passing, next thing you know I kind of stopped and fell out of my daze and turned around to all 5 of my other bandmates, who are usually blabbing and toying with their gear, just sitting quietly across the room looking at the amp. The bassist was first to speak and said "that is the best distortion i have ever fucking heard in my entire life" and everyone else just chimed in stating the same.

It may sound REALLY gay but I don't care, I was so happy driving home from practice I almost teared up. All my friends laugh cause I buy SO much gear and rotate it out, with each purchase I'm always quoted as saying "no dude, THIS is going to be the one!! This is the shit" then I play it and always end up dissapointed.

Not with the Herbert. It's just unreal.

Thanks so much Peter for taking the time to create this masterpiece of a head.

Now my bassist keeps asking me when the Lucy is going to be available to the public...anyone??

I'm getting teary eyed myself
Peter diezel for president :hail:

I have to say thank you too.

We had a school concert today, and I brought my Diezel Einstein. At first I was a bit nervous, because it didn't sound so great. But that was until it got warm and got cranked. Oh boy oh boy.... The best of both worlds: Great, sparkling clean with a lot of headroom and a greeeeeeeat distortion wich can both be brutal and raw, sing like an angel or sing some blues for you. And what surprises me the most is that no matter what my settings are on the amp, it sounds good. I still haven't got it to sound bad. All the different sounds sounds great in the right setting.

So thanks for making such great amps Peter. We all love you and your team! :cheer:

Me too, Thanks AGAIN Peter! :p

Well having bought this amp at the mere age of 18 I think I'm sorted for life really now and The Columbus has never failed me, absolutley brilliant.

You be da' man, Peter, and I always think of you whenever I am playing, because you are right there with me.
Stephen

I know how you feel.. That's exactly how I felt when I cranked up my VH4 for the first time, it was hypnotic. All my dreams for the best sound came true. Thanks Peter !!!!!!!!

I must say I share the same "illness" as you guys! The Herbert is THE amp to have PERIOD

I've tried sooooo many amps including mods and what have you... nothing cut it until I got my Herbie. ROCK ON

Yeah, darn Herbert...rockin' socks off and stuff...hell more like blowing them off and lighting them on fire. :D
